Is just not okay.
He had a Finagle bagel for lunch today, and his very short girlfriend got a Mediterranean Salad.
This has been another edition of Important Craig Hansen Information.
This is obviously premature, but it’s obvious that Ellsbury is ready or near-ready to contribute every day at the Major League level, and that leaves us with a logjam. So I want to throw this open to comments: this offseason, we will likely trade one of these two players. Which should it be?

Here’s approximately what happened: last week, my friend Jon sent around an e-mail promising tickets to tomorrow’s afternoon start to whoever responded first. I shot off an e-mail as soon as I saw his, only to learn I’d been beaten to the punch only a couple minutes earlier. So, I was bummed, but […]
It’s been nearly a week now with Jacoby Ellsbury on the major league squad and no corresponding comment from me. This is, at best, surprising; as frequent readers (assuming I still have any) know, I’ve been on the Ellsbury bandwagon since before he was even drafted.

Today was the first round of the 2007 amateur draft, which I’ve covered in a lot more detail in past years. This year I didn’t as much, both because of general laziness and because, unlike in 2005 and 2006, the Sox had a very limited number of high draft picks. In 2007, the […]

After a very very tough weekend of baseball, it’s nice to have something to look forward to: Sox fans have been […]
Tonight marks the beginning of the short-season class-A Lowell Spinners regular schedule. This will be a very interesting club, a nice mix of international players and recent draftees. I’ll be especially interested to follow the progress of guys like Aaron Bates, Kris Johnson, Willy Mota, Jon Still, and 2005 draft-and-follow signee Luis Exposito. […]
The Sox have, according to this morning’s Boston Globe, signed 1st round draft pick Jason Place, a high school OF out of North Carolina. Place will report to the GCL Sox within the week to begin his pro career. Good luck, Jason.
The Prospect list will be updated momentarily with Place on it.
The Prospect list has been updated with new signees Kris Johnson, Caleb Clay, Justin Masterson, and my most anticipated draftee, Aaron Bates.
Other 2006 draftees who have signed but are not on this list are: Dustin Richardson (5th round), Zach Daeges (6th), Ryan Khoury (12th), Jordan Craft (13th), Jorge Jimenez (15th), Paul Smyth (23rd), Mike Chambers […]
